Solving Complex Problems
What is it?
A two-day program with a focus on participants' capability to deal with complex problems - problems that are ill-defined and for which there may be a large amount of potential solutions. Solving these problems requires teamwork rather than individual knowledge, and approaches that are intuitive as well as rationally sound.

- A capability to solve increasingly complex problems and thus to add increasing value to your client relationships.
- Choosing an appropriate problem-solving approach with a mix of both convergent and divergent thinking
- Insights in how to focus the efforts of a team towards effective solutions;
- Knowledge about best-of-breed methodologies to solve complex problems.
What is the course program?
Based on a case study, we will explore in-depth:
- Problem definition.
- Creative and analytical techniques - and the appropriate use of both.
- Formulating hypotheses.
- Evaluating possible causes of problems.
- Writing up data specifications.
- Drawing up logic diagrams: facts - findings - solutions.
- Formulating recommendations.
- Introduction to the management of change.
